TOLEDO 65
2010 | AUDIOVISUAL GENERATIVE
Toledo 65 is one of our early explorations mixing generative visuals and concrète sounds. The acoustic component comes from various field recordings captured inside my old Mexico City apartment in Toledo Street, no. 65, Col. Álamos. I assigned a specific animated symbol per sound. The x and y coordinates would control the sample's starting position and amplitude.
Movement across the canvas was controlled using a physical controller with an Arduino board and arcade buttons.
Sound and code: Escalante
Controller design: Daniel García and Marcos Mendoza
